My name is Johnny Z, New York's
Premier Disc Jockey, and I bring music from the 50's to the 90's to
clubs, parties, and special
events of all kinds. As "Maestro of Sound and Entertainment," I am
master at setting the mood and energizing any event - your guests will
dance the night away, as the party becomes a musical moment they will
always remember!I bring to my presentation over 25 years of working with some the biggest names in the business as an entertaining disc jockey, master of ceremonies and broadcaster. From 1990 through 1994 I worked at WCBS-FM, New York (the #1 Oldies Radio Station In the Nation) where I served as a Programming Assistant/Producer of the top-rated "Friday Night 50's Hall of Fame Show." Additionally I hosted a top-rated, five-hour weekly show, "Rock 'N' Roll Revival" that was heard on Sunday nights in the tri-state area(NY, NJ, PA) from 7 pm - 12 Midnight on WZAD 97.3 In Middletown/Wurtsboro.
Most recently, I was heard on WAXB-FM, B105.5, Danbury and New York's fun oldies station. Listeners tuned me in on Sunday evenings, from 7-10PM, to hear my top rated "Rock'N Roll Revival Show", the Doo Wop, Street Corner Harmony sounds of the mid-50's and early 60's.
My #1 Rated Show,"The Original Rock'n Roll Revival Show," (formally “The Malt Shop Memories Show, 1230AM WFAS”) can be heard on Westchester County's top rated Radio Station, WFAS 103.9 FM. You can tune me in on Sunday evenings from 7pm to 11pm.
